Before I finished my Mini Quilt, it's been probably five times that I've changed my idea. It was to be a pillow at first, then a table runner ... in the meanwhile I was thinking about circle arrangement of elements , then I changed my mind and I decided to arrange the elements in a shape of a curve, but my idea got changed to the shape that is now.
I've cut and composed strips in
various ways. When I was sure that my idea was good I was coming across the
same or a very similar thing sewn by someone else.
And finally after many trials and changes my "Rainbow Mini Quilt" was made
:)
It's a combination of vibrant colors with a contrasting whiteness.
It was quilted in two different ways, trimmed with a colored binding.
Size: 60cm * 60 cm
Cięłam i układałam gotowe paski w różnych kierunkach.
Rozmiar: 60cm * 60cm
A few close-ups.
Kilka zbliżeń.
A pocket to
hang a mini quilt.
Kieszeń ułatwiająca zawieszenie mini quiltu.
To quilt I used the Aurifil company threads .
Do pikowania użyłam nici firmy Aurifil. (dla przypomnienia dodam,że firma Aurifil wspiera nasze Warsztaty Patchworkowe "Quilts My Way")Many thanks to Madame Samm and Christine L for organizing another very inspiring play. Thanks to Dare to Dresden I had a chance to learn something new. It was the first time when I was sewing using the dresden ruler and when I applied the method of sewing curves.
Don't forget to visit other participants of our play.
